Shearwater NERD 2 Fischer Dive Computer

NERD 2 Fischer connector for rebreathers.

Rebreather tested. Recreational requested.
The world's first near eye remote display for scuba divers has been redesigned for enhanced flexibility and reliability. In addition to the DiveCAN and Fischer versions, OC divers can now experience the freedom the NERD 2 has to offer. The universal regulator mount allows divers to secure the NERD 2 within their line of sight and dive with the security of knowing their crucial dive information with a glance of the eye. From the combination of the Micro LCD display and the magnifying lens, the data on the NERD 2 appears as if you were looking at a 25 inch TV 12 feet away.

So pleased.
OK, to start with I am an "Oceanic" diver. All of my equipment, with few exceptions, is Oceanic. I have owned a DataMask for about ten years with many, many dives--in fact, I could not imagine a dive without it. Oceanic finally retired the sad old thing and no longer supports it. When I could not get my last set of dives off it, I decided it was time to retire it. Enter Shearwater, which I am now, in spite of the 'Worldwide' moniker of Oceanic, going to call the 'Oceanic of Canada'. The NERD 2 was the answer to my prayers--sounds corny, but I am adapted to a HUD dive computer and it solved my problem. Add to that the fact that it supports my new rebreather via the Fischer input cable so I am in diver heaven. This thing is just incredible--did I mention dual tank transmitter support? I don't care what kind of diving you do, it does it. Minimal clutter and sophisticated diver-aware functionality--what's not to love?

OnlineScuba also deserves some kudos--superior service and knowledgeable Instructors and Staff
