Q: Is it safe to use my credit card online?

A: OnlineSCUBA would like to address the ongoing concern with credit card fraudulent activity. Although it is virtually impossible to eliminate all fraud you can buy your scuba equipment with confidence on our site and through our secure server Authorize.NET. We have recently upgraded our verification system and would like to say that even though we cannot eliminate all fraud, we are doing our best to combat it with all the tools at our disposal. Credit card payments are the backbone of our business and we want to assure all of our scuba equipment buyers that whether you are buying a wetsuit, BCD, scuba mask, snorkeling gear, scuba gear or regulators, we are doing what is necessary to protect you, our customer, from any fraudulent activity.

One way we are doing this is with our Alternate Shipping Address Verification Form which is required if your order is to be shipped to an address other than the billing address. Rest assured that your purchase information will not be shared, used or otherwise taken advantage of by any of our staff or used fraudulently by our secure system. Q: Are the products I buy from internet sites guaranteed?

A: Internet shopping is not any different from shopping down the street or in the next town. Sites that sell products should tell you what they offer and how they guarantee their products and services. OnlineSCUBA fully guarantees our products against defects and offers full warranties as stated from the manufacturer guarantee.

Q: If I buy my equipment from you will I still have to take it to a dive shop to have it assembled?

A: All equipment is fully assembled by a factory trained certified scuba instructor before you receive it. Unlike other stores and even possibly your own local shop, where you may find anyone, even an uncertified diver, assembling your equipment. Q: Why should't I buy my Mask, Fins, Snorkels and Booties from my local discount store?

A: SCUBA gear is life support equipment. Your personal gear is one investment that will make or break your snorkeling or SCUBA experience. Discount masks and related gear will work but the sealing surfaces and overall long-term quality will not meet your needs down the road. We have searched out products to fit every budget and need, and we allow you to exchange unused items, so why would you buy anywhere else?

Q: Do I have to be a Certified SCUBA Diver or higher to buy gear?

A: You don't need a Certification Card to buy any products we sell, just be aware you will need a Certification Card for air fills.

Q: My local Dive Shop says that OnlineSCUBA is going to put them out of business. Is that true?

A: OnlineSCUBA is simply an alternative for you. If your local Dive Shop is properly servicing you and your equipment needs, then you would have no reason to look elsewhere. All we ask is that you give us a chance to prove ourselves and the rest will be up to you.

Q: My Instructor says that I need to buy the same equipment he/she has.

A: OnlineSCUBA realizes the loyalty that exists with the Instructor and Student. We are Instructors and Divemasters ourselves. What we will do is offer you sound advice with the empathy and understanding you expect from an Instructor along with quality equipment and service.

Q: I noticed your prices are different than other sites.

A: OnlineSCUBA is truly an Online Dive Shop. We purchase and sell our products with the full knowledge of the manufacturers which means they guarantee them and we service you accordingly. Your purchasing investment is based only on your enthusiasm with the guarantee of product performance and future satisfaction.

Q: Can I have my regulator annual servicing performed by OnlineSCUBA?

A: Yes, our technicians are factory authorized to perform annual service and regular tune-ups for every major brand of regulator on the market unless it needs to be on our museum rack. (We occasionally have parts for the museum pieces as well.) Look in our Regulator Section for more information.

Q: How do I redeem a Coupon Code or Gift Certificate at OnlineSCUBA?

A: For coupon codes, simply enter the code after choosing your payment method during checkout. If you do not see a box to enter the code it is likely the case that we do not allow coupons with the selected payment method or you are already receiving a discount that does not combine with any coupons. To use a gift certificate, select the Gift Certificate payment method during checkout and enter the serial number in the provided box.
