I love pool water but it doesn't love me. I swim IMs and I haven't found a nose plug that will stay on — yet. Will this stay on, can I send it back for free and for full refund if it does't?

Hi Karen, Thanks for your question. I know freedivers use these nose plugs but I'm not sure how well they will work for swimming IM's. If your not happy with the item you can get a full refund but the return shipping would be at your expense. If you have any other questions, please let us know. Thanks Divemaster Chris

About 5 hours after I finish swimming laps in my village pool, my nose becomes congested, begins to run and I have bouts of sneezing that border on the comical. The congestion continues overnight and sometimes through the entire next day. Salt spray doesn’t help. Vaseline helps a little, but I still congested. Regular nose clips, e.g., Speedo stainless steel, help a little when combined with Vaseline in my nostrils, however, I will still become congested. Solution: A. A low-profile, high quality diving mask that covers my nose and keeps ALL water out. Concern: a. If small, the mask may become easily fogged. b. The mask may introduce “drag” when swimming laps freestyle and hamper both motion, e.g., head rotation, and enjoyment. B. Use a more professional version nose clip, like those worn by competitive ‘Free Divers,” e.g., Mares Apnea. Concern: a. Water will still get into my nostrils. b. Nose clips will slip off as a result of swimming motion. c. Nose clips will slip off on their own after time in the water. d. Nose clips are large and bulky and will negatively impact the freedom and joy of swimming. Q. What do yo think? Q. What do you recommend? Q. What are the top 3 freedive style nose clips Thank you! Bill

Hello, So the Mares one or just about any other will perform fine and when worn as directed will not allow water in your nose. Hope this helps, Happy Diving, Instructor Bill OnlineScuba Founded 1996 1 866 728 2293
