The New Atomic BC1 is for the diver who wants the absolute best world-class BC on the market. As with every Atomic Aquatics product, Atomic begin with the intention of redefining the product category. Just as they did with regulators, fins and masks Atomic decided it was time to design the ultimate BC. They reexamined every detail. The Atomic BC1 will debut as the definitive leader in the BC category. They started with the realization of the hard punishment the ocean inflicts on dive equipment. So, their priority for a BC was durability. The Atomic BC1 was created using exclusive engineering-grade plastics, polyurethane coated textiles, and corrosion-resistant metals. It is designed to go toe-to-toe with the ocean environment. It is simply the toughest BC in the world.

Atomics' custom matte-finish fabric has a different look and feel, making this new fabric unlike any other BC. You will know it is Atomic the moment you see it. Not only does it Look tough, it's built and designed to hold up year after year. Imagine if you combined a fine leather Ferrari seat with a saddle it's like that! Strong double-laminated polyurethane textile material is designed to hold more pressure. This material will handle cycle and burst pressures to failure nearly double that of standard BC materials. After all, your BC supports your tank and regulator, so it needs to be tough. A watershed moment in BC design. Really The Atomic BC1 actually, sheds water like a raincoat. Water does not penetrate the fabric with polyurethane coating on both sides. The exterior coating is thicker to prevent tearing, cutting or leaking. But, the big benefit the BC is virtually dry right after your dive. Yet another Atomic design exclusive. You will be amazed how easy this is to use, and how securely it holds your tank in place. The concept is similar to the bindings on ski boots and snowboards. The ratcheting band quickly adjusts to accommodate a variety of tank sizes and the over-center buckle locks everything tightly in place. Gone are the days of trying to figure out how to weave nylon webbing into a buckle. Just push the molded belt teeth past the ratchet and lock it down with minimal effort. No sweat.

It's quick and easy to load your weights in or out of the water like no other weight system can. Two zippered weight pouches hold up to 10 lbs. (4.5 kg) each of hard or soft weights in sizes Small to Large and 14 lbs. (6.35 kg) each in X-Large. The weight pouches glide into the weight pockets under the arms and lock into place with a reassuring Snap." A simple one-handed tug on the handle is all that is needed to release. It's the same principle that has been used for years on our EZ-LOK fin straps. BCD also has rear non-releasable weight pockets that can hold from 6 lbs. to 10 lbs. (2.7 kg to 4.5 kg) depending on the BCD size. Elite high-performance air delivery systems are the cornerstone of Atomic Aquatics. Why shouldn't this philosophy continue to the inflation system of a world-class BC design? No other manufacturer gives you these options with this level of engineering and performance. Dive with the innovatively-designed Atomic SS1? Or dive with a high-performance pairing of Atomic Octo and NEW Ai Power Inflator? Now you have a choice. The Atomic BC1 is designed to be exclusive even the manufacturing involves a custom hand-crafted sewing process and custom binding tape. An insert-molded polyester reinforced belt in the tank band ensures safety.

Other great features of the BCD are: Custom 316 stainless steel D-rings with titanium PVD coating for accessory attachment, diamond pattern quilted back pad and adjustable lumbar pad. There is a non-skid tank pad with CNC machined stainless steel hardware molded to the frame and sand-resistant zippers on the two side pockets for additional storage of accessory items. Buoyancy control is facilitated with the Atomic Ai Power Inflator and low friction 316 stainless steel dry-glide" exhaust pull dump in two locations. The pull dumps are equipped with patent pending anti-floating pull knobs with lengthened tail sections.

Atomic Aquatics introduced the industry's first high-performance BCD power inflators made from all-titanium or stainless steel metals (sold separately). The Ai Power Inflator series is designed to be a perfect complement to the Atomic Aquatics line of high-performance regulators and their new BC. Ai Power Inflators are available in two models: Titanium and Stainless Steel (see SKU ATMSAI). The series is engineered to be the best power inflators in the world, using proven, corrosion-resistant materials. The Ai Power Inflators are designed to be the most diver-friendly BCD inflators on the market, employing signature Atomic Aquatics style and materials.

The All-Titanium Ai Power Inflator is designed to complement the Atomic Aquatics line of titanium regulators, enabling divers to have an all-titanium air system with unparalleled performance and the highest level of corrosion-resistance. The Titanium Ai Power Inflator has the same 3-Year/300-Dive service interval as the Atomic T3 regulator the company's flagship regulator. This enables divers to dive more and wait longer between recommended servicing.

This truly is high end diving with the Atomic BC1. This BC has the most balanced trim and weight system I have ever used. The adjustable tank strap is the most simplest and innovative device I have used for a air source ever. I'am very fortunate have gotten this BC, the one thing I did not like about this BC is that atomic requires you to buy an inflator (even if it's not a second-stage inflator separate) that is immoral in the dive business I cannot name another industry in the business that does this. Chris with Online Scuba included the SS1 inflator with this free of charge and took care of me in this deal. I plan to keep this product for awhile. Thanks team!
