Custom Ground and Installed Prescription Mask Lens

Prescription Dive Masks allow everyone to see clearly underwater. Professional divers have used them for years. Now sport divers, photographers and snorkelers are discovering the benefits of clear underwater vision.

We have an optometrist custom make each lens for your prescription, using your personal measurements for optimum vision. Your lens is created specifically for the mask you select. The lens size is kept as large as possible, to give divers a full field of vision. Then it is bonded to the glass face plate with optically clear adhesive that never comes off.

Choose your options below and either e-mail your prescription or fax to 702-734-6333 with the mask you order from us or send the mask you need altered to us.

Of the 3 masks I have had lenses bonded to this one was by far superior.

The lenses were cut to match my mask dimensions.  Previous mask RX lenses were not sized or shaped to fit my mask and did not cover the entire area.

The lenses are not just bifocal but have an extra reader that allows for easy gauge viewing.  I have not seen anything like it.

So pleased with my purchase.

The prescription inserts I had put in my mask are good, minus one problem.  I had the same thing done with a california company that does this type of thing, and the lenses they used are bigger.  This one from online scuba was 150 vs 250 that the other company charged me, so it seemed like a a good deal.  The quality is about the same.  It is a single pane large mask that I sent to them to have made prescription.  The edge of the inserts are more in my field of vision with this mask vs the other one, making a line of vision change in my peripheral vision.  The prescription wasn't a big change from my last mask, and I'll bring both masks to Cozumel soon, and if it's a big enough annoyance, I'll use the old mask.  If online scubas optometrist were to fill the view a bit more, I'd happily buy this service again.  The guys I dealt with at the shop were great.  I bought a new reg and fins from them and was happy with the level of knowledge.

Love my new prescription lenses, now I can see not only my gauges but the fish as well.  Now scuba diving is fun again.  All I had to do was order the lens, choose a mask and fax over my prescription.  Thanks Online Scuba for making this a great experience!

on 7/28/2011 		This spring i had my contacts Rx updated, only the left eye changed. My CLs are a compromise multifocal without astigmatism correction. My glasses, however, correct for everything. My doc suggested readers, which I like, and am looking into dive maks with gauge-readers, but am put off by the prices for custom Rx mask lenses. Just out of curiosity, what would my price with you be for the following Rx: R sphere +.50, cyl -.75, axis 80; Lsphere +.75, cyl -1.00, axis 98; bifocal addition +2.00 both eyes ? Also, since your price is for a pair, what would I do if I needed to update just one side in the future after buying a set of these lenses, buy a whole new pair and send you the mask to replace them? Thank you for your time in reading this, sorry it's so long.

on 7/31/2011 		Hello, We are having our optometrist give us an answer for your RX and will follow up on Monday. If your Rx changes I would suspect you could get another one but the custom lenses are attached to the existing lenses. on 5/1/2015 		I use a Cressi minama dive mask for free a diving and spear fishing, the lenses are very small. I wear progressive glasses but I would probably just go with a 2.5 2.75+ . could you do this mask and can you give me a ballpark price?

If you needed custom lenses, we would have you send over your prescription to us to have our optometrist look it over and the price would vary based on your particular prescription. on 8/27/2015 		Hi again, I spoke with a gentleman late yesterday and he asked me to send my dilemma, "My friend is looking for someone who can grind custom trifocals for him. He wants the size of the fields to different from the "standard" approach. I got additional detailed information from my friend was placed. as follows: What I want is only a slim upper segment (across the entire lens) for distance, and 1/3 the remaining (across the entire lens) for intermediate, and 2/3 remaining (across the entire lens) for close-up. They can't do it because there are no blanks made that way. Also, I need an opposite base curve; getting blanks for that, even for plain glasses, are difficult, and because of that it took 4 months to receive my present trifocals from when the order Thanks and I hope this makes more sense to your expert! You can do a single window, however the correction would be in the middle of the lens and you would and a lot of "blank" lens around it so it would be weird.
