Waterproof H1 5/10mm Polar Evoluted Hood w/HAV System

A 10mm double layered protection in critical heat loss areas and glideskin seals for the neck and face.

Waterproof H1 10mm includes the unique HAVS (Hood Air Venting System) which uses one-way valves to vent annoying air buildup in the hood. During our numerous Polar trips with Waterproof Expeditions we learned that divers underestimate the heat loss under extreme conditions. We may understand we probably need a thicker undersuit, but when it comes down to the accessories, like gloves and hoods, the options are less. Also new technology ables divers to make longer dives and with this the Hypothermia factor enters the equation. It is common that Tech Divers using Rebreathers adds on an extra hood to prevent heat loss during long and deep exposures.Waterproof looked into this and created a series of accessories we tagged as "Polar Evoluted", the H1 5/10mm HAVS is one of them.

I have been in 60 degree water in the ocean down to 32 degree water under the ice.  This hood will keep your head warmer than you can imagine.  Make sure to fit properly so as not to cut off circulation, but also not have it too looses around the neck.  If fit properly, you will never even get water around your head.  For SCUBA mask or Full face mask, make sure skirt of hood goes over top of the seal.
