Cressi Start BCD

A new jacket in extremely strong 500 and 1000 denier Cordura.

With excellent buoyancy, even on smaller sizes it has been specifically created for diving centres and for renting. Start was specifically created to meet the need to offer a very strong and indestructible jacket that would last longer even when subjected to the particularly demanding daily use of diving centres and renting.

Therefore, a combination of materials from the strongest that the market has to offer was chosen. The jacket is made entirely from 500 and 1000 denier Cordura. The structure is traditional, but the bag is larger, to guarantee good buoyancy even on the smaller sizes, thus countering the typical habit that beginners have of using too much weight.

Cressi Mini C2 Depth and Pressure Gauge Console

Compact and built to last, this two-guage console combines a Mini SPG and depth gauge.

The textured boot is easy to handle, even while wearing gloves, and can be rigged with a clip or bungee and secured to the diver's BCD for a streamlined profile in the water.

I recently purchased the Cressi Start Pro package which came with Cressi AC2 regs, Octopus and SPG.  I'm an occasional diver at once a month here in Florida and didn't want to invest in the high end gear though I wanted something that would be reliable and durable.  Cressi's start pro ended up being perfect for me.  Though it doesn't have all the bells and whistles I knew that it would serve me well with the type of diving I do.

I would recommend this package to the beginner or occasional recreational diver.

on 5/19/2014 		I'm wondering about size. I meet all the sizing for medium except weight. 42 inch chest and 36 inch waist, but I'm 200lbs. What size do you recommend?

on 5/9/2015 		I'm interested in buying my first dive gear pkg. not quite sure how much I'll be doing beyond once a year. So, as for bang for buck what do you suggest? Have been looking at the Cressi Start/pro package. is the integrated weight issue superior to that of the belt? Any suggestions? Thanks

If you want to have a starter package then at the very least do consider a weight integrated bcd as the weight belt can be a hassle. That said, if a weight belt is not a concern or you need more weight that what the bcd can handle then definately go that route. Hope this helps, Instructor Bill
