I am an oilfield commercial diver. My last compass was a Sherwood retractable compass. It work well and lasted about 5 years until the cable snapped at the clip and I lost it. My only complaint about that compass was that it was hard to tell what the letters were in murky water and you had to look for the smallest point and that was south.
This compass completely solves that problem and is very easy to read, even with bad vis. Also it spins well and points north even when tilted up to 45 degrees. There is no air bubble in it and works and spins freely at depth, I have taken this compass down to -286' deep with no problems. The compass module is very secure in the base and the design of the base made it easy to attach a lanyard and clip to secure it to my harness.
I have been using it for about a month and have about 20 dives on it and have no complaints so far.
