do the traveler fins have an open toe design? I am in need of travel size fins size XL to XXL (shoe size 16) and open heel and open toes will likely fit best.

I plan to go snorkeling once then use the fins for training in the pool. Are strap fins better than full foot for me?

I would go either way since these are strap fins but made for snorkeling. At the end of the day the strap style is easier to make sure it fits properly at all times.

Hi
I have large feet (14W).
Your offer at Amazon is listed as XL (sizes 13 to 15), the size at this site is L (large). Is this a larger fin than usual? I have a size 13 Normal, but it is a torture to use it ...

Hmmm, xl is the largest we have and it should work. It will be on the tail end of the spectrum but should work without boots as that is how they are made.

I'm not seeing sizing info other than Small, Medium and XLarge. Where would a women's size 8 or 9 be in that range?

The sizing goes Sm-Med Mens size 4.5-8.5. Med-XL Mens size 9-13 and XXL mens size 13-15. For women you go down two sizes to get the correct fit

Can these be used with water booties? We need our booties for water entry and would like a shorty fin. If so, how would the sizing run for ordering? Thanks!

Hi There,
The soft pocket is such that you don't need boots but as long as they are soft sole boots and your foot is not at the top of the range I would say you can used these with them for your special situation.
Thanks,
Bill

do these fins come in a men's shoe size of 16? I am not sure if the XL would be large enough. What would your opinion be? Will these be back in stock any time soon?

I would not recommend these for a size 16 shoe even if they were available.
