Answer: Anyone who registers for an account with www.onlinescuba.com is automatically enrolled in the program. You do not have to do anything at all! Just place an order and start earning points today!

How do I use my Rewards Points to buy products?
Answer: You cannot directly spend your Rewards Points on products. Instead, you redeem your Rewards Points whenever you wish for a Rewards Program Gift Certificate. You can choose how many of your Rewards Points to redeem and you will be issued a Rewards Program Gift Certificate with a dollar value balance equivalent to the number of Rewards Points redeemed.

How do I determine what my Rewards Points are worth?
Answer: 100 Rewards Points = $1.00US when redeemed for a Rewards Program Gift Certificate.

How are earned Rewards Points calculated?
Answer: The short answer is that your points are calculated on what you pay for, except for shipping/handling and taxes. If you want a more detailed explanation (and aren't afraid of a little math), keep reading...

In order to maximize the benefits for our customers, we came up with a method that we feel is most favorable to you. The first thing to understand is what doesn't earn Rewards Points:

• Taxes and Shipping/Handling do not earn Rewards Points.
• Payments made using Rewards Program Gift Certificates do not earn Rewards Points.
• Cash Gift Certificates may earn Rewards Points. When you buy a gift certificate from www.onlinescuba.com, you will be asked during checkout if you want the points for the purchase, or if you want the person who uses the gift certificate to receive the points. If you choose to receive the points, then payments made later using that gift certificate will not award points. If you choose instead to let the person who uses the gift certificate get the points, then you will not receive points for purchasing the gift certificate, but the person who uses it will receive Rewards Points just as if s/he had paid with cash. Note also that you cannot use a Rewards Program Gift Certificate to purchase a normal cash gift certificate.

Now that you understand the restrictions, we can better explain how we calculate your points. If your order only contains point-earning payment types, then it is pretty easy: just subtract any shipping/handling/taxes from the total you paid. If you are purchasing a gift certificate and chose for the person who uses it to get the points, then you also need to subtract that from your total as well. The remaining amount is the number we use to calculate your points. Take that number, double it, and drop anything after the decimal point. That's the points you earned for the order!

Things get slightly more complicated if you are paying for your order in part with a Rewards Program Gift Certificate as well as cash. If your Rewards Program Gift Certificate has enough to cover any shipping/handling/tax charges, then you will earn points on the amount you paid in cash. However, if your Rewards Program Gift Certificate doesn't have enough to cover shipping/handling/taxes, then you need subtract the difference between the value of the Rewards Program Gift Certificate and the sum of shipping/handling/taxes from the total you paid in cash. For example, let's say you have an order totalling $100.00US, of which you paid $10.00 in shipping/handling/taxes. You used a $5.00 Rewards Program Gift Certificate and paid $95.00 in cash. In this case you would earn points on $90.00 (which would be 180 points).

Can I return products if I paid for part of the order with a Rewards Program Gift Certificate?
Answer: Of course you can! Just remember that the maximum refund we will issue cannot exceed the amount you paid in cash for the order (subject to our normal return/exchange policy restrictions). We will not issue refunds for Rewards Points or Rewards Program Gift Certificate payments.

Do Rewards Points expire?
Answer: No! You can wait to redeem your points for as long as the program is active. Should we decide to cancel the program, however, you will lose any points not redeemed.

Do Rewards Program Gift Certificates expire?
Answer: Yes, when you are issued a Rewards Program Gift Certificate it will expire 6 months from the date of issue.

Can I still use my Rewards Program Gift Certificate if you cancel the program?
Answer: Yes, as long as it has not yet expired.

1. Participants must register for an account with the OnlineScuba web store (www.onlinescuba.com) [“OnlineScuba”] and keep the account in good standing. Account suspension may lead to the forfeiture of any earned or awarded OnlineScuba Rewards Program Points [“Points”].
2. No purchase or separate enrollment action is necessary to participate in the OnlineScuba Rewards Program [“the Program”].
3. Points may be awarded through specialized promotions at the discretion of OnlineScuba.
4. Points may only be earned on qualifying purchases¹ made directly with OnlineScuba.
5. Points may only be redeemed for an OnlineScuba Rewards Program Gift Certificate received directly from OnlineScuba.
6. Points may not be transferred, but a valid and active OnlineScuba Rewards Program Gift Certificate may be used by anyone towards the purchase of qualifying products and/or services being purchased directly from OnlineScuba.
7. OnlineScuba reserves the right to change which products and/or services qualify for the Program at any time, without notice.
8. OnlineScuba reserves the right to eliminate the Program at any time, without notice. If OnlineScuba eliminates the Program, all unused Points are subject to forfeiture, but previously issued OnlineScuba Rewards Program Gift Certificates will be honored under the original Terms & Conditions by which they were issued.
9. OnlineScuba reserves the right to alter the Terms & Conditions of the Program at any time.

¹ A qualifying purchase is defined as the qualifying product subtotal of an order placed directly with the OnlineScuba web store (www.onlinescuba.com), less any discounts or promotions (including payments made with Rewards Program Gift Certificates, or cash Gift Certificates where the original purchaser opted to receive the Rewards Points at the time of purchase) and not including S&H/Taxes. Participants will earn 2% (rounded down; fractional points will not be awarded) on qualifying purchases made after November 1st, 2012 until program termination as Rewards Points. For more information, see the Rewards Program FAQ: "How are Rewards Points calculated?". Points earned on qualifying purchases will be available for use 60 days after order fulfillment. Cancellations/Refunds issued for an order will forfeit any Points earned from that order. Purchases made using Rewards Program Gift Certificates do not award points. Standard cash Gift Certificates cannot be purchased with Rewards Program Gift Certificates. Orders paid for (in part or in full) with Rewards Program Gift Certificates are not eligible for refunds beyond the total cash amount paid toward the order. Rewards Points and Rewards Program Gift Certificate funds will not be refunded under any circumstances.
