Simple is as simple does. The Oceanic Veo 1.0 is a solid basic computer designed for air or single gas nitrox mixes up to 50 percent. It displays only essential information during the dive in easy-to-read digits; uses effective bar graphs to present nitrogen loading and ascent rate; and offers useful features like an automatic safety stop countdown timer that ticks off three minutes when you ascend to 15 feet. A single push button is all that's required to navigate the settings and the sequences are intuitive with help from the excellent owner's manual and waterproof prompt card. At this price point, you are giving up bells and whistles--most notably audible alarms, a backlight and the ability to download dive profiles--but these are excellent choices if you want a simple, low-cost computer.

    Question asked
    on 4/28/2011
I am seeking a good value scuba package that will not be too heavy for airline travel. I have an AOW cert. Is this a good package? How often does the reg need service and how much does it cost? Thanks Peter

Hi Peter, good questions!!! This one is not back inflation so the BCD will not pack as small but weight wise I would say that you are not any worse for the price unless you want to go specific to a travel bcd such as the Islander, but to keep the price we have to stick to the Cruz. Your regs to keep under warranty is every year for service and the cost in the $75 range for service.

Hello, when you say upgrade the second stage do you mean octo or primary? The short answer is yes and you can purchase the package and ask for this in the order notes and what you want and we can contact you for the price difference approval.
