IIkelite UUnderwater Housing for Canon HF G10
The Ikelite 6085 Underwater Housing for Canon HF G10 is a clear polycarbonate case that enables you to shoot underwater with your Canon HF G10 camcorder. The design provides a full view of the camcorder and its control functions. Important functions are accessible through the housing via mechanical controls. Access to the camera's touchscreen menu functions, including white balance and manual focus, is given via 2 controls. The housing's controls are depth rated to 200' (60 m).
The camcorder's large LCD viewing screen can be easily viewed via the External Mirror on the side of the housing. Simply open the Canon's LCD monitor, rotate 180° and fold back against the side of the camcorder. (Actual image will be reversed when viewed through the mirror). A magnified Super-Eye Viewfinder is included for improved viewing of the camera's optical viewfinder.
The included 3.0" flat glass port features a 67mm thread, enabling the use of optional 67mm threaded macro lenses from other manufacturers (not included). However, the use of external 67mm threaded wide angle lenses is not recommended. Due to the wide angle of the camera's native lens, these external wide angle lenses offer no benefit when used with this system. Instead, an internal wide angle lens option is suggested: Special ports are available for use with the optional Raynox DCR-730 / DCR-731 high resolution wide angle lens. These ports are sold separately as dome port #9306 or flat lens port #9306.1. A 58-52mm step down ring is required for the attachment of the Raynox lens to the Canon camera (lens and step down ring not included, not available from Ikelite).
The included aluminum tray and handles can be removed with just two nuts for packing. The housing includes two 3/8-16 threaded stud mounts with wing-nuts for attachment of PRO-2800, PRO-V8 or Pro Video mounting arms for underwater lighting. Optional weighted bases are available for added stability above or below the surface.
The included UR / Pro Color Filter offers color correction in tropical blue water, with available sunlight up to 80' (24 m). The optional filter 6441.81 is also available to achieve more natural tones in green water settings. Color filters such as these help restore tones that tend to get lost underwater, thereby imbuing your beneath-the-surface photography with more color richness and vibrancy.
