Description

Ikelite ULTRAcompact Underwater Housing for Sony Cybershot DSC-WX50 Digital Camera

Camera(s) not included

The Ikelite 6214.05 ULTRAcompact Underwater Housing for Sony Cybershot DSC-WX50 Digital Camera is a waterproof case enabling you to shoot beneath the water's surface with your Sony Cybershot DSC-WX50 camera. It has a depth rating of 200' (60 m). .

The housing provides access to all camera functions, with the exceptions of the Mode Switch and Control Wheel, via mechanical controls. The camera's built-in flash is usable. Drop-in camera loading makes setup easy. The case is constructed from durable polycarbonate, which is clear to enable you to monitor the O-ring seal. Housing buoyancy is slightly positive in freshwater

You can attach optional 46mm and 67mm macro and wide-angle lenses to the housing's lens port. Macro lenses enable extreme close-up shots, while wide-angle lenses get you close to your subject while allowing you to fit more in the frame. Both types cut down on distortion caused by the water, thus improving image quality. Moderate to extreme vignetting will occur with wide- angle lenses. The use of 67mm macro lenses requires the 9306.81 Adapter (sold separately). With the optional 9306.79 Adapter, you can attach bayonet lenses, though Inon's UWL-105AD and UFL-165AD are not recommended. The WD-4 Wide Angle Dome is not compatible with this port.

To restore colors that get absorbed underwater, you can use optional external color correction filters. Use 6441.32 for blue water or 6441.72 for green water.

You can use optional external strobes to improve lighting, but they must be triggered as slave units. To soften the light of the camera's built-in flash and thus prevent backscatter and hard shadows, a flash diffuser and flash deflector are included.

The housing is equipped with a 12-24 thread with 3" (7.6 cm) spacing for the mounting of an optional tray with single or dual handles. Such a tray provides attachment points for lighting.

Hello, I am interested in this housing for Sony Wx50. My issue is that I do not have the camera, and I want to buy it during my visit to Las Vegas. Do you have the camera to sell, so I can buy both at the same time? If not, my idea is to get it from Amazon and ask them to deliver it duing my stay at Las Vegas and afterwatds I will get the housing from you. Do you have enough parts in stock of this housing so I can wait until April 6th which is the date I will be in Las Vegas? I am affraid of buying the camera and not the housing and vice versa. Thank you very much. Moises Coster

Hi, Moises, Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately we try not to keep stock of housings due to the fact that there are so many different kinds of housings for different cameras. However, if you go ahead and get the camera from amazon, from then you can just place an order with us for the housing. That way we can order it from the Manufacturer. You can give us a call to place your order at least 5 days prior so we can ensure that we will have it at the time of your arrival. Seabree Selvey Customer Service 866-728-2293
