IIkelite Compact Underwater Housing for Sony DSC-HX9V

The Ikelite Compact Underwater Housing for Sony DSC-HX9V is a durable waterproof case for your Sony Cybershot DSC-HX9V digital camera. The housing has an injection molded polycarbonate construction and a depth rating of 200' (60 m). Mechanical controls offer full access to all camera functions. Two 12-24 threaded mounts on the bottom of the housing enable the secure attachment of optional trays and lighting accessories.

Color correction filters help restore the reds, oranges and more natural tones that tend to get lost underwater. This housing accepts optional filters #6441.46 for tropical blue water and #6441.86 for green water. Wide-angle lenses get you closer to your subject while still fitting everything in the frame, thus reducing distance and distortion for better, clearer images. This housing accepts the optional WD-4 Wide Angle Conversion Dome, which corrects for refractive magnification to give a 28 mm angle of coverage underwater. For extreme close-up work, the housing also accepts optional 67 mm threaded macro lenses from Inon and Epoque, using optional adapter #9306.82.

An included flash diffuser improves lighting quality when the camera's built-in flash is used. Optional external underwater strobes are also available to give you more power, faster recycle times and better elimination of backscatter than would be possible with the camera's flash alone.

External Underwater Strobes--For greater power, quicker recycling, and better backscatter elimination than is possible with camera's built-in flash alone, use these external strobes: Optional AutoFlash AF35 for easy automatic exposure or DS Substrobe with EV Manual Controller for more power and wider angle of coverage

Video Lighting--For occasional clips, the optional Pro-V8 is great for close-up work and focus assistance. For the serious shooter, the powerful PRO-2800 is recommended for maximum output and versatility. Tray with release handle(s) required for attachment (not included)
