Ikelite 6801.32 Underwater Housing for Nikon D3200 DSLR Camera

( Lens port, camera and lens not included.)

The 6801.32 Underwater Housing for Nikon D3200 DSLR Camera from Ikelite is a waterproof case enabling you to shoot beneath the water's surface with your Nikon D3200 digital SLR camera. It has a depth rating of 200' (60 m).

The housing provides access to all essential camera functions via mechanical controls. The Diopter Adjustment Control, metering selector and flash pop-up are not accessible. The camera's built-in flash is not usable within the housing. The case is constructed from durable polycarbonate, which is clear to enable you to monitor the O-ring seal. Housing buoyancy is neutral or slightly negative in freshwater, depending upon which lens port is selected.

The housing's interchangeable port system accommodates a wide range of the Nikon F bayonet mount lenses that are compatible with the D3200 camera. These include wide-angle, macro, standard, standard zoom, wide-angle to portrait zoom, and wide-angle to telephoto zoom lenses. Macro lenses will enable extreme close-up shots, while wide-angle lenses increase your angle of coverage, allowing you to get close to your subject while fitting more in the frame. Both types of lenses cut down on distortion caused by the water, thus improving image quality.

You can use optional external strobes or flashes to improve lighting. The housing's proprietary circuitry enables direct communication between the camera and current Ikelite DS Substrobes for accurate through-the-lens (TTL) metering control of an off-camera strobe or flash. Connect this external light to the housing's electrical bulkhead.

The housing is equipped with a 12-24 thread with 3" (7.6 cm) spacing for the mounting of the included tray with dual handles. This tray provides attachment points for lighting.

Depth Rating-- Safe to use at depths up to 200' (60 m)

Controls-- Access to all essential camera functions is provided via mechanical controls. Diopter Adjustment Control, metering selector and flash pop-up are inaccessible. Shutter, video recording start/stop, and a large zoom control knob can all be comfortably reached without removing your hands from the handles

Construction-- Crafted from durable polycarbonate known for its corrosion-resistant properties, which is clear to enable you to monitor the O-ring seal. The camera's built-in flash is not usable within the housing. Buoyancy is neutral or slightly negative in freshwater, depending upon choice of lens port. Comfortable rubberized grips offer quick-release attachment points for strobes and accessories. The included tray and handles is removable from the housing for travel convenience

Viewfinder-- A glass optical viewfinder is positioned just above the camera's LCD screen towards the top of the housing

Strobe Use-- Use optional external strobes or flashes to improve lighting. The housing's proprietary circuitry allows for direct communication between the camera and current Ikelite DS Substrobes only, for precise through-the-lens (TTL) metering control of an off-camera strobe or flash. Connect this external light to the housing's electrical bulkhead. The housing accepts the Ikelite 4103.51 single or 4103.52 dual sync cord. You can quickly and easily adjust exposure with a current DS Substrobe via the large dial control at the rear of the housing TTL mode provides four 1/3 f/stop increments over or under flash compensation to fine-tune your exposure. If you prefer, control strobe output fully through the rear of the housing via 1 of 7 manual power settings in half-stop increments. Non-Ikelite strobes may be used, but will only provide manual exposure. Sync cords are available for Nikonos, Sea & Sea or Inon strobes

Other Lighting Options-- The PRO-2800 LED video light produces a high output of 2800 lumens with a natural, daylight balanced color temperature. The 100° angle of coverage works well for wide-angle lenses. The light doubles as an effective focus light for macro work. Arm components are also available, enabling the attachment of video lights such as this one, as well as strobes and other accessories

Mounting-- The housing features a 12-24 thread with 3" (7.6 cm) spacing for the mounting of the included tray with dual handles. This tray provides attachment points for lighting
