Apeks RK3 Open Heel Dive Fins

The RK3 fin design has been the standard for Military, Special Ops, Coast Guard, and Public Safety Divers for decades. It is a traditional all rubber design. The RK3 blade material is formulated to hold up in the toughest environments, temperatures, and abuse. The short wide blade provides maximum forward thrust while maintaining great maneuverability. The vented blade design reduces resistance on the upstroke and enhances thrust on the downstroke. The fins come standard with stainless steel spring straps.

Dove with them for the first time in Puerto Rico.  Great propulsion and great maneuverability.  Did well against the current and minimized leg fatigue I had with longer fins.

on 11/29/2015 		I am looking at the APEKS RK3, and wear a size 10 boot. What size do I need? Also if I buy the Akona 3.5 mm molded sole boot does that change anything?

on 2/25/2016 		what about drysuit boots? I tried to use a pair of these, size large with my drysuit, no go. They do however work fine when I use with wetsuit boots ( sz 10 ). So question, there is only one size up, is it a large pocket? any way to judge if these would work with my rock boots?

on 10/4/2022 		Are these the RK3 or RK3HD? Because my feet sink, I am looking for positively buoyant fins and have read that the RK3s are positively buoyant but the HDs are not. Can you confirm that these are positively buoyant? Also, if I wear a size 9 boot, should I get the large size?

on 10/5/2022 		Hi, Thanks for the question. These are the RK3. We do carry the RK3HD as well. You are correct, the RK3 is positively buoyant. The RK3HD are NOT as they are much denser.
